The Constitution and I: A symposium on enabling responsible citizenship

Whatever walk of life you may hail from, the Indian Constitution is one document that will always be relevant to you. In a country as diverse as India, clearly, this is the unifying document defining our national identity. For many of us, it will bring back memories of how we grudgingly crammed it into our heads to clear our civics exams!

As we usher in the 67th Republic Day, we invite you to re-ignite your relationship with the Indian constitution by being part of a unique symposium entitled:
“The Constitution and I”

Date: 22nd Jan 2016
Time: 10am to 12pm
Venue: School of Inspired Leadership, Sector 44, Gurgaon

This symposium is designed as a series of conversations among different sections of society where we ask ourselves two fundamental questions:
“What does the constitution mean to us as Indian citizens?”
“How can we play an effective role as citizens in ensuring a better India?”

The initiators of the conversations will include teachers, students, members of the legislature, judiciary, media and civil society.

We, the People, is a citizens network, striving to bring the tenets of the Constitution closer to the lives of every Indian citizen. We imagine an India where the vocabulary of the Constitution is accessible, where every Indian feels empowered to practice constitutional values and work towards better governance.

We look forward to seeing you!
