We, the People (WTP) is housed as a project of Pragati Abhiyan. All donations to WTP can be made in the form of a cheque sent in the name of Pragati Abhiyan (please write We, the People Project on the back of the cheque). All donations made to Pragati Abhiyan are exempt from Income Tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Is Citizenship a certification program?

Can I take the program and not become an anchor?
Yes, there is no compulsion regarding this one.

If I become an anchor do I have to only work with slum groups?
No, you can take the program to schools, senior citizen groups, colleges, any citizen group at all.

Does all the work I do, fall under We, the People?
Yes, once you attend our program, you become part of our family and the larger ecology which thrives on sharing.

If I undertake the citizenship program and do not take it forward, am I still part of We, the people?
We focus less on the dynamics of inclusion-exclusion; if you are proactively using your learning for the betterment of the country and its people in your own way – you are automatically serving the purpose.

Is this some kind of a cult or cause?
No, we are all part of this country hence we, the people does not hold the right to give you any kind of membership.

Does We, the people solve legal matters?
No, we help you understand the basic structure and functions of the State of which legal system is a part. You can connect individually with lawyers who are part of our network if you so need.
